Association of Accounting Technicians Level 4

Who is the course for?

Students who have successfully completed AAT Diploma in Accounting Level 3 and wish to complete their Accounting Technician qualification.

 

What is the course about?

You will study six units:

  • Management accounting: budgeting
  • Management accounting: decision and control
  • Financial statements of limited companies
  • Accounting systems and controls
  • Credit management *
  • Cash and treasury management *
  • External Auditing *
  • Personal Tax *

 

*Students chose two of the optional units

 

You will be assessed by 5 computer-based exams and 1 computer-based synoptic assessment.

 

Are there any course requirements?

You will need to have completed and passed all units of AAT Level 3 and demonstrate aptitude for study at this level.  All students will require an interview to establish suitability.

 

Do I need to bring anything?

Basic study materials including A4 lined paper and a calculator.

 

Are there any other costs?

You will need to reregister with AAT (approx. £90).  Recommended textbooks – c. £80.   Any exam retakes will incur an additional charge. 

 

Other useful information

This course will expect you to put in a great deal of additional study outside of class in order to keep up with the fast pace. It will be very beneficial to you if you have work experience in the accounting sector
